Hi, we are facing a lot of crashes over here, can someone help us?
We are rendering an animation, ram usage is at 60 - 70% 3dsmax 2021.3.6 and corona 7.1 (middle of production so its not possible to upgrade to 8 )

Attached is the dump file, would be very grateful if someone can look inside it and help us here..

Hi, i was working as usual and suddenly started getting a red sky, deleted corona sky, uninstalled and reinstalled corona but now im getting the red corona sky on even empty scenes.. My corona License is up and running Btw.

Using 3dsmax 2021.3.6  Corona 7.1

Hi, I have a render node that crashes on render end, all other nodes are working, all same corona version 7.1, 3dsmax 2021.3.6 and windows...
Any one got a clue ??

Hi, some time ago i read about the Cbitmap future ability to load the needed resolution of the texture for each scene (something like a tx texture?)
Were is corona with that ? or any other memory reduction capability  like texture compression ? Have you seen the texture compression with gpu decompression? Looks incredible!
Hope to have some news op this, One of my few complains of corona render is the high memory usage.

[Max] Bug Reporting / Corona Crash when render elements used

Hi we have a scene were corona and max crashes if the render elements are active at a resolution of 3500px, the memory just hit 10gb of the 64 available
If the render elements are disabled the render starts and finish, if not the render wont even start and crash right away.
Already merged into a new scene, sued forensics and prune scene to clean it, but its a small scene..

I have a simple scene were the interactive freezes the second time its used, I i run the interactive for the first time and move the time line it will freeze too.
Im using 3dsmax 2021.3 and corona 7.1

Hi, i have a 3dsmax file that crashes when opened, it works if its merged.. i contacted Autodesk and they told me that corona may be at fault here, if i open it on max 2022 were i dont have corona installed it will work, but on max 21 with corona it crashes.

Another thing, i think the bad object is the one called "Comunal" if i try to Bake to Texture that building the render will crash half way of the process

We are using custom bloom and glare together with Corona volume

We are using max 2021.3 and corona 7.1

Hi, I have a question regarding various objects that need to be combined preserving their unique unwraps for a webgl app, I have a couple of models like cars that need to be attached to BAKE on a Bake to Texture option, but these objects share the same space on their texture, so How can i attach them on a single one and not mess the unwraps they have ? We bought these models that comes on low poly with their own texture.,

Please Help!

Hi, we are having random problems with the corona licencing server
We get a NO license in the client pcs and in the licencing server app the user and password is fine, we ended licencing manually the machines having trouble.
Restarting the server and clients pcs make no difference

Hi, i found a bug in the corona tonemap control map
Just put a direct visibility override and a bitmap with corona tonemap control map. Start the interactive and change exposure with all the thinks unchecked, the background WILL be affected by the exposure, for it to properly work you need to disable and then enable the controls on the corona tone map control maps

I made a small video for it.

[Max] Feature Requests / Viewport DOF Corona Camera

Hi, i know the topic has shown in the forum before, but here is the request on the Feature request forum. Please make the corona camera work with the viewport dof of max! Its very important to have the ability to set an animation with dof without the need to render it! (if its done on the interactive its slow on big projects)
Have the ability to make an animatic with dof included is a must to avoid future errors and for the client to see the real intentions.

So the thing is that on production scenes with lots of forest objects the Scene parsing becomes slow, im talking 1+m to start. I guess this is happening to most of the artists working with forest and corona, I have tried Vray3.6 and for the scene parsing it just seems Faster, way faster. Unfortunately Cant try the same scene or a newer vray on this topic but sure some one else can do that comparison.
For me its super frustrating when this starts to happen, its always the combination with forest and the interactive is no longer usable

On a medium size scene the  times start to show
Regular render time to start the rendering process : 52 Seconds
Interactive render time to start the rendering process : 58 Seconds
On bigger scenes this time  gets bigger between the two


Also looked at another topic about itoo forest and corona regarding some implementation to get faster meshes out but there is no response for that topic too..
i can see on trello something about Rewrite of the parsing for the interactive rendering, but its not on v8 so far..
I just have access to vray 3.6 and the starting times are way faster than corona.

I really hope this conversation can take off, starting times and interactive performance is one of the Key points for a good workflow for me.

Attached is a test from Itoo developer showing the time spent for different scenarios, here Corona Loses is slower 15x to 39x times compared to vray.
