with the CCP, we cannot "ADD A CUSTOM COLOR", with the "Object Color" Window.

Hello,

as we know, Corona, V-Ray, MR solve the problem of jagged edge with the Clamping option.
But, in Maxwell we havn't  this option.
Unfortunately, I'm no a MW expert. So I ask you how it solves this situztion?

(*) Special AA filter?
(*) under-the-hood clamping?
(*) ??

Hello,

often, when we will work in some scene (especially interior) we often use "Isolate" button to isolate our model, during the shading task.
And, usually, we work with high exposure value.
But, when we press "ISOLATE" (to speed up the shading process and rendering), the scene is extremely bright;
so, we must to change, manually and every time, the exposure parameter from ISOLATE top CAMERA view
And, we do this MILLION times during our working days.

So, my idea is to create a new parameter (Isolate exposure) who is able to change automatically the exposure when we are in "ISOLATE" mode.

What do you think?

You missed a small dark gray line.  =)

Also, if Emit Light is off, we are able to press the "+" button. I think it's an error.

after A7, we have a new Energy conservation mode: automatically it dims diffuse color as reflection is increased.
In short:

Energy conservation mode OFF: parallel object faces = brighter shader (old mode)--- > Legacy mode ON because the old scene will not break.
Energy conservation mode ON: parallel object faces = darker shader -->  Legacy mode OFF

When I load a shader created in Corona , I have the Legacy mode available, and it's turned ON.
Then, I try to turn it OFF. I expected a darker version, to follow the  Energy conservation mode. But, I have the exactly opposite image.
Then, I create a new material with the same properties, with v1.5. The Legacy mode isn't available, and I have the same result with the old shader, with Legacy mode OFF...








(*) If I load a shader from 1.1.1, the Legacy mode is available. But, if I change Legacy ON or OFF, the rendering is the same.

(*) If I load a shader from 1.3, the Legacy mode isn't available, and it's turned OFF...
Again, with Legacy mode ON or OFF nothing changes...

I'm a little bit confused...

if we use a CoronaMtl or CoronaLightMtl with 5500K selected with the Color picker we will have a  different  render than the CoronaLight 5500K numeric value: why?

Hi,

I know what Clip option does, and I read this official page.

But, in a real project, Clip option doesn't change nothing.
Maybe, because in my test, the opacity map isn't so blurred.
The best solution is to create manually a "clipped texture" in Photoshop, with only two colors: black and white.
In attachment you can find the full renders and maps.

As we know, Anisotropic range is from -1 to +1

From 0 -> +1, usually, the anisotropic orientation is vertical and. from 0 -> -1, is horizontal.

So, in my opinion, black should be horizontal and white vertical. And, it's so.
But, from RGB [0,0,0] until RGB [64,64,64] nothing change!!! And, from [0,0,0] until [64,64,64] the anisotropy is perfectly horizontal O_O
Also, we have different noise quality in the preview at [64,64,64]

the situation is this:
(*)  I have some .mat files.
(*) In every .mat file I have 5-10-15 shaders.
(*) I have an empty MEdit
(*) How can I populate the Medit with the shaders inside the .mat file without to click 5-10-15 times?

Hello,
this is the situation.

(*) We are working with "Use simple exposure" Tone mapping.
(*) Also, we have  DOF enable.
(*) If we want to change the DOF, we need to use "F-stop".
(*) When we use IR, if I change "F-stop" parameter, nothing happens. I need to stop IR and run t again.

I think it's a bug.

How can I save the Rest (unassigned)
For example, I have a teapot with CoronaMTL with self-illuminated material.
This geometry will be rendered in the Rest (unassigned).
But, In the VFB  drop-down menu, I don't see this layer.
