Bug Reporting Cinema 4D / Downward compatibility
« on: 2020-09-03, 08:48:05 »
Hello,
when saving a szene build with corona 6 and reopen it with corona 5, there will come a error message like "error in filestructure" or in german "Fehlerhafte Dateistruktur" and file cant be open. Just for letting you know.

Hello Forum,
im rendering a interior animation, classical curtain in the wind animation with a alembic file out of marvelous designer. To keep rendertime fast i just want to render the specific region. therefore i defined the render region in c4d rendersettings. But unfortunately corona hang up while calculating secondary gi uhd cache. If i render the hole image without defining the render region everything work fine, or if i defined the render region via the vfb picture viewer it works also. Any ideas? Is it possible to define a render region with the vfb picture viewer which do not get lost on every new frame? Im working in R18, but did a test on R21 too with Corona 5 HF2.

Thank you

« on: 2019-06-24, 20:37:32 »
Hello Forum,
can anyone give me a tip where to find high qualitiy backplates which can be used for high resolution interior renderings? I have a hugh amount of different situations and therefore i have to use different kind of backgrounds like backyards, gardens and city-scapes. can anyone give me some good sources similar to sites like vishopper.

Thank you

Hello Forum,
so with the newest Daily Build im getting a very unsharp result after denoising. I read about the high quality filter which should not be used together with the high quality denoiser. Is that correct? Also when i do not use the hight quality filter and just put on denoiser, im getting also a very splochi result. Please have a look at the both preview renderings.

Thank You

Bug Reporting Cinema 4D / Motion Blur kills reflections
« on: 2019-03-13, 08:18:19 »
Hello Forum,
if i turn on object motion blur it do not render any reflections on "some" windows any more. If  i turn motion blur off everything is fine. I have a static movement of the sky object in beause i want to render out different light situations with the take system. Also there are appearing some of my trees on places i  didnt not place them. I had this before when i was using instances and Motion blur. Is this a known bug?

Hello Corona,
so if i put a layer node into bump slot and add a standard c4d noise, this is not showing up in the interactive Renderer.
Can anybody confirm this?

Hello Forum,
maybe i missed somethng, but why do i get these differences(Artifacts) when rendering in IR-Mode and in VFB. The IR looks also a lot more blurry than in VFB. Im using  HQ Denoising and lightning via sky object and a hdr. Its just a testscene with a few materials. Never had this before... I also testet it in different Versions of C4d and also with different hdr maps.

Im using Corona Version 3.

Thank You

Hello Forum,
so i would like to know how you handle big Projects with a lot of diffrent cameras, Lightning etc. I do have to render about 30 images on a render farm. Has anyboy some advices how to set up so i can send it to the farm? Do i have to set keyframes an change Kamera Lightning etc. via the stage object, or is it possible to feed the Render Manager with all the particular settings? Would be nice to hear some experiences.

Thank you

Hello Forum,
so i wish to have something like a autotiling for biger sizes. I often do renderings with about 20000px and currently it is not possible to render this resolution until i tile the image in more than 10 pices via tiled camera script. Maybe it is possible to split the image in multiple parts so that rendering is possible without tiling manually every time. I do have 120 GB of Ram but its not possible to render images in this size. So this would be a hugh time saver.

Thank you for all your effort

Hi Forum,
so i once again have to render a big resolution image. The last time i rendered with the tiled camera solution which works perfect. This time i have to change the background and this seems to be a problem when working with the tiled camera and the Corona environment overrides. I set up a different Background and link it to the "Direct visibility override" with Frontal Mapping in Corona settings. If i now render with the tiled camera the background repeats for every slice i render. see the images for clearing things up. Does anyone have a solution on this? I thought i could manage it if i render the image with alpha mask an then compose the backplate in photoshop, but this dosnt work also because the alpha channel is very chunky at the edges. I get a 1px white line all around my masked objects. Please have a look at the image in attachment. I currently have no idea how to solve this issue and hopefully someone run into the same problem and have a tip for me.

Thank you

Is it possible to add the feature Cast Shadow and Send Shadow like in Vray for the compositing Tag? Currently it is possible to exclude a object from Shadow, but sometimes its helpfull if a objects receive shadow but dont generate them.

Thank you

Hello Forum,
i do have to render a scene in 20k and  unfortunately i get error messages all the time which say 'to less ram'. I have 128 gb of ram in my machine but i cant render higher than 13K.
The scene is nothing special. Its a parkdeck with some pillars, a floor and some walls. Two of the Materials have displacement material. I do have about 15 light sources and one hdri as my main light. I put all the lights in the multipass light mix selection and applied denoising to them. So usually i render in Corona vfb and save out my images as exr. Is this the way to go or is it better to use c4d picture viewer instead?

Any suggestions would be very fine, thank you.

Cheers

Corona Renderer for Cinema 4D - general / Fireflies
« on: 2017-11-22, 11:21:47 »
Hello,
i cant get rid of these fireflies. Im using a hdr environment to lit my scene. Everything else is perfect but i cant reduce noise/firelfies in this area. I reduce max sample intensity to 15 checked my glass material and i cannot find any issues. Im using a light material for the car lights with an intensity of 4. Any tips what i can do next? Noise Level is about 1.9%. after two hours of rendering.

Cheers Christian

Hello Forum,
so Iam new to Corona and first of all its very intuitiv and im happy with my first results.
Raising up the Light mix Values ends up in a very noisy image althought i checked the "Apply denoising" to it.
So im using Light mix to find the corrct light intensity and would like to know the corresponging units so i'am able to
feed my lumen Value. If i raise up the Light Mix value for example to 6, what value do i have to insert in my lumen intensity to get the same intensity?

Thank you
Christian
