That error was during the scene upload. I will try it again.

It does not work at all on a normal object with a corona material. I don't understand what's happening here.

I used frontal mapping, not spherical. http://prntscr.com/ixhrlv The material is setup like so http://prntscr.com/ixhs1g The animation works with the default Cinema materials, but not with the Corona material for some reason. http://prntscr.com/ixhse1 I used a simple image sequence for the animated background.

I'm attempting to Direct Visibility overrides with an animated material which is used for a background object. I used the same animation settings for both materials. http://prntscr.com/ix5l5j
The difference being, when used with the Corona material (because i cannot brighten up default C4D materials with Luminance) does not animate and is incredibly distorted. Observe. http://prntscr.com/ix5mkb

[Max] I need help! / Re: Giving HDRI skies custom textures?
« on: 2018-03-17, 18:29:36 »
I've got a new problem now. The sky has magically decided that it won't be affected by the modification of the sky objects texture tag (the offset/length of the sky) and it stays to default. Why is that?

Awesome, thanks.

I'd like to know if it's possible to use an HDRI lighting for your scene, or the default corona sky and yet have the sky be a different texture. In this case i need the HDRI skies lighting for a differently textured sky.

Will GPU bottlenecks have an impact on rendering times? i7-4770k here with an MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition 3GB GPU

TIL rendering Trees and foilage takes a LONG TIME

14
This one took 37 minutes to render. I'm getting worried when it comes to how long will Cinema 4D's preset trees render. I think i'll try porting some low poly trees from the Source Engine.

Did you manage to solve your slow rendering issue?

Well, not quite. I took all the suggestions regarding closing other programs to free up space, but it seems that the cause of the slow rendering seems to be the objects within the project it's self. In fact, render times have gone up, to about 30 minutes a frame now to be exact. I think it may have something to do with the landscapes, but i'm not sure. Also, at this rate it would take approximately 65 hours to fully render my animation. (130 frames or so). It's a little concerning given the fact i'm yet to add anything like clouds, fog, or trees/foilage. I'm still figuring out where to get the models that have good rendering times.
