You only need to have V-Ray installed. You do not have to worry about the license.

[Max] I need help! / Re: Round Edges Map - Physical Material

It really depends on the case, but maybe it is easier to think about it this way: "which part of the material should have hard edges?"

You can try selecting your object (either the Forest object or the source geometry - you would have to try both), right-click > object properties > disable the "visible to camera" option.

[Max] General Discussion / Re: Corona Renderer t Crashes

Since the issue is serious, it would be best to contact us about it at

Could you send us this scene archived with all assets? The uploader is in my signature below.

2. Setting opacity to 0 makes fog like material.
On the second image water material have opacity 0, but underneath surface have blue color.
The third image is a preview but the sphere is still barely visible.

These things are expected. When you hide the surface (set opacity to 0) you still see the volume.

Try this:

- Search for *coron* and *legion* in your 3ds Max installation directory and remove all files that are found (or move them away in case they should be reverted)
- Go to C:\Program Files\Corona and remove this whole folder
- Then install Corona 7

Let me know if it worked.

Which version of V-Ray are you using? You need V-Ray 4 or newer.
The error message is indeed confusing and we will improve it.

Hi, is this in any way related to Corona?
Have you tried refreshing the ENU folder?
What happens if you reinstall Max?

Hi, can you please try following this guide step-by-step:

Please let us know if it helped or not.

Hi Odil24, please note that Corona for Blender is not being developed right now. For more information, see:

Even with the older versions of Corona for Blender, the Corona team would not be able to provide you with any kind of technical support, as the exported was developed by a 3rd party.

I think that's a shadow of the left light object.
Disabling "occlude other lights" in this light's settings should resolve it.

[Max] Daily Builds / Re: Normal Map + Triplanar Bug?
« on: 2021-07-13, 15:22:21 »
I think it was just a matter of using right scale values in the triplanar/uvw randomizer and using "randomize each tile" option with number of tiles set to 1. I guess when using this option, it makes most sense to set it to more than 1 tile.
I am attaching a "fixed" version of the scene which appears to be rendering as expected.

[Max] Daily Builds / Re: Nvidia Denoiser BUG
« on: 2021-07-12, 14:11:53 »
I was able to reproduce this issue, but only using your CXR file.
I opened your scene and rendered it locally, saved a new CXR file in 6100 resolution and denoised it in CIE - everything was fine.
And I am using "only" a GTX 1660.

So it appears to be some issue on your end. Here is what I would suggest:

In V7, we do not install the specific Optix denoiser with Corona. Instead, we provide the one shipped with NVIDIA drivers, so:
1) Uninstall Corona completely
2) Go to C:\Program Files\Corona and remove this whole folder
3) Make sure you have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed in your system
4) Go to the folder where you have the V7 RC5 installer and make sure you do not have any offline NVIDIA Denoiser installer in that folder (this:
5) Install V7 RC5 again using "custom" installation mode and make sure the NVIDIA Denoiser is selected in the installer
6) Try rendering the same scene again, save a CXR, try denoising it in CIE
