Like here? Only front is visible. But also, no other transparent object is seen behind.

Description:
Diffuse.
Refraction 90%, IOR= 1.
Ray Switch = invisible in refractions.

The problem is that if the mannequin bends one elbow or a knee, the two objects will be visible behind each other.
I don't think this can be achieved in Corona.

Now this is useful for the future...

Sure, we can continue on the forum, no problem. If the discussion starts "freezing", please bump this forum thread and/or feel free to contact us at support@corona-renderer.com or me directly at miodek@corona-renderer.com

(started an internal report to keep this issue in one place - id=582842271)

I have just made sure that this is correctly reported as a feature request.

We'll double check this, thanks for reporting.

We could continue working on the Archicad plugin, including recompiling for compatibility with newer Archicad releases, if we had developers available for this. Sadly, we do not have any developers who could do it right now.
If you are an experienced developer who would be able to continue the development of the Archicad plugin, or if you know someone who could do that, please send us an email to hiring@corona-renderer.com and we will see what exactly the possibilities are.

Which version of Max and Corona?
Can you send an example scene? Or at least a few screenshots showing what exactly you are doing and what is happening?

Thanks in advance!

@Gabiru and @dj_buckley
Have you contacted us about this via our helpdesk? If not, please do: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new
We do monitor the forum, but the support we can provide here is limited. We can offer better help, and more often, via the helpdesk.

First, we need all the basic information:

Which version of Corona is this?
Which version of 3ds Max?

What exact network rendering setup are you using? Corona's DR only? Backburner? Deadline? Other?

Is this happening only in one specific scene?

Is this happening in a scene with just 1 teapot? (RAM usage unexpectedly high?)

Are you using some 3rd party plugins? (Forest Pack? Multiscatter? Siger? Other?)

Can you send any problematic scene to us? (archived, with all assets)

Have you tried using the "conserve memory" option? (screenshot)
Following the RAM guides? https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/12000023310

Please contact us with the above information using https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new

Looking forward to your support tickets!

« on: 2020-10-21, 19:43:55 »
I will check the provided scene ASAP. I have it on my todo. Sorry for the delay.
Just to make sure - you are not using region / crop rendering here? If so, it is not supported with the caustics solver and will produce splotches that never go away.

What happens if you press "next"?

Hardware / Re: Benchmark threadriper 3990X
« on: 2020-10-20, 17:27:56 »
There are no dual CPU motherboards for Threadrippers. For that you would need the Epyc series CPUs.
The results are from a single 3990X CPU. It's 64 cores with hyper-threading (AMD calls it Simulataneous Multi-Threading - SMT), so the benchmark detects it as 2 x 64. The detection isn't perfect.
You can also check the benchmarks on other websites, e.g. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/

Here is a similar thread and some solutions, including the one Romullus mentioned:

Use the Corona Front Back map with one side set to gray and one side set to pure black plugged into the opacity slot.
