RGB primaries set to "auto" should give you the correct results.

If you mean like in the windows to the left, then I think a procedural noise map in bump channel with a very low bump value should do the trick.

I still don't get it why not model a sphere with thickness by modeling a sphere with thickness. :)

[Max] Bug Reporting / Re: Problems Rendering Animation!

It was indeed Corona assuming that the camera is inside a volume due to an object with no thickness with refraction enabled. In such cases, I can recommend the following:
1) Adjust the problematic material - either by disabling refraction or by enabling the "Thin (no refraction)" option. This way the camera won't behave as being inside a volume anymore.
or
2) Go to Render Setup > Performance > Development/Experimental Stuff rollout and enable the "Use legacy medium resolving" option. This should fix the rendering, but it globally changes how volumetric effects such as refraction and absorption are computed in Corona.

I'm only qualified to say "that would be cool", and redirect you to the ideas portal. :)
Ok, it's doable, as usual with no promises.

There could be something like a "desaturate first" checkbox next to the tint option. Feel free to log this as an idea at https://chaoscorona.ideas.aha.io/

Can you share your results from the other render engine? What engine was it?

Hi, sorry, for some reason I did not see this thread. Are you still getting this?

If it's a simple "stack bond" pattern, then you could use the 3ds Max Checker map. I used Corona Tile with 5x5cm size and 0.1cm gap thickness. Then I used a Checker map with the tile dimensions x2 (10.2 x 10.2cm).

If it's a different kind of pattern, then I don't know if it's possible at all...

I have updated the paths here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us/articles/5147044693393
Please let me know if you noticed wrong paths in some other place.

I would say this is expected when using directional lighting. What you see is the shadow of the glass, pretty much like here: https://www.gettyimages.ie/detail/photo/plastic-bottle-royalty-free-image/840778522
Perhaps disabling caustics would help here? (trading off realism for better artistic control)

Hi, this is more tricky than it sounds UI-wise, but feel free to log this as a feature request at our ideas portal: https://chaoscosmos.ideas.aha.io/

[Max] General Discussion / Re: ForestPack Masking
« on: 2025-04-16, 09:38:12 »
So what we currently have:
- select all source objects, add them as a single masking channel = whole Forest is rendered as a single mask
- use CMasking_ID in instance mode = each source object + all other scene objects come with individual colors

What is missing:
- a one-click solution to render the whole Forest as a single mask
- a way to render the Forest source objects with different colors, without rendering all the other scene objects

Is that right?

I'm glad you've managed to pinpoint it! Troubleshooting network issues can lead to insanity. One case I remember was having to ENABLE firewall in the router settings, otherwise DR wouldn't work...
