Hello,

I am trying to install Corona 13 on one of my nodes, which has double E5-2697. Latest v12 is installed successfully, but I can't run the installation process for v13.
Have you dropped support for this CPU or it is something else? All I get when I try to install v13 is a brief empty CMD window and then nothing.

Thank you

Hello Tom and Avi,

I use Windows 10. All latest updates. To be precise, 10.0.19045 Build 19045

I don't get any errors. CMD window pops up, two instances of Corona installer appear on the task manager and then in a second or so they are all gone. Nothing else.

TY for the extra info! So far all reports of this seem to happen on Win 10 (two users reporting this here on the forums, on a total of 4 machines). Anyway, to take a look at what is going on, we'll need the log from the failed installation, and that can be obtained by running the installer from the command line with the parameter -debug=3. If you could do that and send us the log, that would be great!

Interesting...
Is there a guide of how to run the installer from the command line? I don't know how to run the installer through cmd, let alone to use that parameter. I would happily give it a try.
Also, is there a chance that v13 to be installed successfully through that cmd installation?

Thanks!

There is a guide, part of the overall installation guide in our documentation at https://docs.chaos.com/display/CRMAX/Installation+Process - hope this helps!

I attach the log files. I am not expert but it seems that the installation process stops on the unzip step.

Thanks!

Hi,

We may have a clue what is causing it, may be related to instruction set for specific CPU types.
If there is an implemented fix, it will most probably be in the next preview (daily build), so stay tuned to check it.
