Only been using C12 for a week or two, so been trying to force myself to use the new VFB2, but I find unfortunately everything about it a step backwards so will most likely switch back to the old one. Everyone's given the reasons here already for me mainly its:

1) zooming seems to show "noise" for a second before it disappears (some kind of zoom antialiasing issue).
2) UI layout with the text on the right is a bit messy, unaligned and oversized. Needs alignments and line separators.
3) the icons in place of text buttons is just confusing. Can't seem to commit them to my brain and always have to read the tooltip.
4) flipping between elements seems to take longer than before (might be false, will test more).
5) the same dev time could (maybe should?) have been spent getting the material editor/corona materials/maps into QT where we spend like 80% of our time (and active work time, not just passive time like with the VFB).

In general I'm all for a new VFB UI as I'm aware it allows for other important new things to work like Colab etc, but as long as it's with the above things improved.

C4D - VFB 1

VFB 2.0 UX is a step backward and a insult to the users. All the issues should be clear by now.
Also, the inability to undock/resize the Curves window has been an issue since it was removed from VFB 1.0 — and it’s still missing in V13-VFB 2.0.
This isn’t about old vs. new versions; it’s about ignoring long-standing, basic usability requests.
To be clear, I’m NOT posting this in the hope that VFB2 will improve. I’m just begging you to not remove the old VFB.

I still much prefer v1. Simpler and easier to read interface. I'm constantly in doubt on even what button to press for render vs interactive render in VFB2 hehe.

Being able to directly use the mousewheel to scroll through renderpasses in v1 is something I really miss in v2.

The rotating smiley, although a bit gimmicky, is something I didn't know I kept an eye on to see if IR was still going. I miss this too in v2 where I have to look at the render/stop icon on the right and it's not as clear.

In general all the icons in v2 look too much alike and are not self explanatory. I think v1 with icon+text works great. The ui in v1 is somehow more compact than v2 with only icons. I have to constantly hover over icons to see for a tooltip in v2.

Overall I see no reason what so ever to use v2.

We are planning to make at least some changes to the VFB 2, yes, so the more details provided here on things you don't like, the better, as that will help guide us on what we decide to adjust this time around :)
