Hi everyone!

We'd like to know how many of you choose the option to use the old VFB rather than the VFB2. If you are using the OLD VFB, please can you make ONE reply in this post below (if you are using the new one, VFB 2, no need to post here).

In your reply, if you have the time, please let us know what it is that stops you from moving to the VFB 2, as high level or as detailed as you like and have time to write up :) If you don't have the time to explain why, just adding a post with "me" or a "." in it is fine!

I ask for the one reply as then it makes it easy to count the number of users - a separate discussion thread can be started by anyone who wants more conversational back and forth between everyone.

We are still using old VFB
2.0 looks messy, The ui uses more space than before, icons are not very clear in what they do, the smiley face was useful,
There is a bug on the render elements tab where you cant use the mouse scroll wheel, you have to click on them to start using the scroll, then go any where else on the 2.0 vfb and it will work no more, one more click to start using it..
The bug where it will no longer resize the render when interactive is on and you change the window size.

I went back to using the original VFB 1.0 because the VFB 2.0 interface is not clean, even though it has a lot of empty space. I often accidentally click on unwanted buttons. Another important thing is that the VFB 2.0 interface looks very bad. I'm not sure if you're following any design language, but honestly, it feels careless to me — even the Corona Picker is way too big compared to what’s necessary.

in-between

don't like neither; basically both have their quirks; as C4D user, I prefer clean and simple UI/UX
also, holding down button to open menu and then releasing it on chosen action is just PITA
would really appreciate it, if you'd take 'notes' from "Picture Viewer" and ability to customize panels

all i know, is that ever since i started using VFB2.0 - its more sluggish and less responsive than the older 1.
I like the UI - some quirks i dont like such as when i want to switch OFF all the lights in light mix, it prompts me - so annoying.  it didnt do that previously.  i experiment a lot with lightmix and different lighting and to always get prompted is less productive.

I also requested the ability to FLIP the image within the VFB - its a great way to refresh the senses..... PS i was told it would be super easy to implement by someone on the dev team but it still hasnt happened.  it would be amazing if this could be added

Yep, just prefer the spacing and clarity of the old version.

I will never use that new abomination of a frame buffer. And the day you make it so I cant switch back will be my last in corona.

I am using the old VFB not the VFB 2. I will use the VFB until 2 gets the fixes it needs, if that ever happens.

I try the new VFB every once and a while, but keep changing back to the old VFB after a short period. My biggest problem are the new icons. For me, they are not self explanatory enough, and i'm using the tooltips all the time. That interrupts my workflow -> going back to what i know.

I really like the Vray VFB. The colored icons work really well and they use the more space of the UI. There is no need, to make it extra clean.

Using the old one, the v2 is buggy on a separate monitor, it doesnt resize corretly and when you open drop down menus it shows up on the other monitor. I don't like the predfine zoons and the ui takes a lot of space

As someone who has come back to Corona for the first time since VFB 2 was implemented and someone who never really used Corona beyond dabbling, perhaps my take is slightly more objective.

I must say that the icons across the top of the VFB are very unintuitive. I find myself having to assess all the icons and go through a process of elimination before I know which button probably is the one I want. Although this only takes a second or two, it breaks flow and in general lowers my productivity compared to VFB 1.
