Hi,

I'm having an issue since moving to Corona 8 whereby 3ds max will not render, it just hangs on Parsing unless it is the active window?
I'm using max 22 and corona 8, and it's happening on every scene on my workstation...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

This is known issue. The solution for now, is to disable VFB: https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=34859.msg201001#msg201001

another workaround is to use a different 3ds Max version than 2022

Hi,

Is there another fix for this issue apart switching to 3ds Max 2023?
As I face this bug by rendering with Pulze Render Manager and Corona 9.1.

Are you using some remote desktop software like Team Viewer?
So far we were never able to reproduce this on our systems. The solutions which worked for some users were either switching to a different 3ds Max version (the issue seems to be specific only to Max 2022) or fully uninstalling the remote desktop software that they were using (including registry entries).

There is one more possibility, it is highly unlikely, but I would like to make sure:
If you are using some remote desktop software, is it possible that only your screen stops updating, but actually Corona is past the parsing stage and renders just fine "in the background"? So that would be an issue with sending the picture through the remote desktop app, and not actually a real freeze.

Hi,

Thank you @maru,

No I don't use any remote desktop software.
Sad to hear there's no fix apart updating 3ds Max to 2023, it's a pain to install all the scripts and plugins again.
But thank you for the update maru.
