Hi guys,
I wonder how can I scatter few cars in the scene and get a motion blur on them.UFABETI tried CoronaScatter along spline and animate offset to move them without motion blur effect. There is the same problem with ForestPack, there is no visible motion blur. Does someone had a good solution for this? I really have a lot of cars to move

Thanks in advance

Motion blur is not supported on Corona scatter (probably on Forest pack too). You can try to distribute and animate the cars with pflow, it should have no problems with MB.

Really ? So Animated meshes (are those supported?) from scatter won't be blurred?

I wonder if the ScatterPro alleviates this, because this would be an absolute must.

If you convert after scattering into mesh they will be blurred again
Particles at list for tyFlow may be blurred only if they all was born before rendering frame, for example before -1 frame

I think so, but i can't say for sure. Anyway, that's easy to test.

Is scatter Pro a real thing? I heard about it semi-officially only once, somwhere two years ago.

You should definitely write to devs

Hmm? About motion blur in scatter? I think they are pretty well aware of that.

Ah, i see. I probably won't bother devs, but it's nice to see indirect confirmation that there's something interesting going on :]

I`m haven`t tested it with corona scatter, but motionblur does work with forest pack. You need to animate the mesh itself, so it moves in relation to its pivot. If you just animate the mesh`s pivot point, there will be no motion blur, since forest pack just looks at the pivot point of the mesh and not at its location or movement in global space.

kind regards,

Mattias

ok now I am more confused, there are two things:

- Animating objects in space (moving car along road)
- Animated objects, static  ( Tree swaying in wind ).

Do both of these work in ForestPack?
Do neither of these work in CoronaScatter?

Just tested it - with Corona scatter deformational MB is working and translational MB is not working.

@Juraj Talcik

Only the animated static (pivot) objects work in forestpack.

So to get motionblur on cars for example, the easiest way is to add an xform modifier and animate the xform`s gizmo, so the car moves in relation to it`s pivot.
