I'm having some GI flicker issues on the ceiling in one of my shots. I can't seem to get rid of it.

The client has asked for this specific fix.

See video attached, see my setting attached.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

@sprayer This solution applies to Alpha 6, Alpha 7, 7.1 & 7.2 versions only. In Corona 1.0, HD cache was replaced by UHD cache which shouldn't produce flickering. To see a guide on setting up the new UHD Cache, please follow this link: How to use UHD Cache?

@burnin suggestion works the best, however i just applied a ray switch material and made all the GI mats to a flat material.

If there are no moving objects or lights in your scene (only camera) you should render the UHD Cache file once, and then re-use it for all frames. See: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000515648
In situation like this there is no need to disable glossiness or any "hacks" like this.

@maru Unfortunately, there are flickering candles.

The ray switcher seems to have made the difference.

You still try with a single cache file per all frames.
Another idea would be to make the candles visible directly only, and not casting any actual light (rayswitcher or light mtl with "emit light" off), and if some lighting is needed from them, then you could place some 3ds Max lights above them, with limited far attenuation.
