Hi Corona Team

I have small problem ;)

Polygon, or mesh to which it is applied
shadow catcher material delivers light.

I attach screens:

01) My projekt - I have the sky (HDRI applied material) and my 3D model
02) I created a scene reconstruction (mesh - applied shadow catcher material)
03) Render - Light spreads through the mesh
04) Render - reconstructed mesh has applied difuse material (and the light does not spread over it)

Is the shadow catcher already 100% functional?
For example, in Thea render, the shadow catcher material is perfectly solved.

Another thing is that DOF cameras are not working
with a reconstructed mesh, that's another problem.

Version corona:
Version: B1 daily Oct 13 2017 (core 1.7 RC8)
Win. 8.1

Could you post a bit more info on the settings of your SC shader or the c4d file as a whole?
It's a bit hard to determine whether you picked a wrong setting, have to mix the SC shader with the ray switch shader or if something else is wrong.

DOF is working. You need to enable it in the camera tag just above the projection override(f-stop alone doesn't do it) and pick the focal distance in the camera's(not the tag's) settings.

I'm sending a c4d file.
Yes, but I qualify your question with DOF cameras.
DOF works only on a 3D model dog, not to SC which is applied to recontructed mesh.

So here's my solution:
The shader catcher is inside a ray switch shader in all slots except for the GI channel which has a diffuse material. That material then applied to the geometry.
About the DOF not working on the shadows- It does work in both the original one and the rayswitch. I don't know why it didn't work for you.

pics:
1. left original, right ray switch
2. DOF (just decreased the focal distance by 1000cm to amplify the effect)

edit: switched the pics for jpg. the pngs were a bit too large.

i tried to open your scene. but i get an error for shadow cacther pluging.
and i use R18 too :)

Yes i do! i checked for is there shadow catcher material after i get this error. and yes i have it :)
