Hey there,
at first I would like to introduce myself.
My Name is Florian and I am working as a 3d artist for the company lichtecht GmbH in Hamburg. Some of us are using corona for a while and (for still images) the results are pretty good.
Right now, I also wanted to test it for animations. But unfortunately I have some problems.
When I try to save the frames of the animation as a png-file I am getting a "png library error" (see picture).

For that reason I tried to save it as a tif. But there is also a problem. All the tif's are saving in a different bitrate (I will post a second topic for that)

I also asked one of the corona guys at the ACADEMY DAY #8 in Venice (Sorry I forgot your name). I also tried to help my by talking to his colleges. But unfortunately he could help me right away and recommend me to ask my question here)

Any ideas for that problem?

Cheers Florian

Sorry, not helpfull.

We also tried ...

- remove elements, save, restart 3dsmax, open file add elements again (same mistake)

maru from corona team wrote that it must be a max problem....

We only have the problem by using corona. With vray there is no problem.

yes it's more max problem because if you google it many user have this problem even before corona development. It's appears more like random, you can try to check english names in paths of projects, saving path, and documents path, run max as admin.

As I wrote.. It's strange that we only have the problem with corona and NOT vray. We have 32 workstations and I think that at least one of them should also have a problem with vray ore one of them should be able to save the file and not have the png error.

@ sprayer
We are all using max as a admin. What do you mean with english names? Names of the project? Names of the models...

Cheers Florian

probably sprayer means 'Umlaute'(ä,ü,ö). Sometimes software freaks out when encountering this.
If this remains unsolved: What about sgi's? When I render something different than exr I also choose png, but in the past I used sgi's too. You might give it a shot.
