I ask for some crazy suggestion: Bloom Glare exlude/include by object option, i think this very useful for More accurate distribution Bloom/Glare effect in scene without using PS mask's and others
post processing software's and saving final result directly from Corona Image editor or VFB, for saving time and energy:)

+1 for this - it's nigh on impossible to control if you have let's say a huge blown out window and tiny light bulb visible in the same shot.  Also things like fires turned on end up having weird streak effects

as a workaround, have you tried playing with the threshold parameter to filter the effect based on intensity of light sources?
Rendering is magic. How to get minidumps for crashed/frozen 3ds Max | Sorry for short replies, brief responses = more time to develop Corona ;)

Yes, of course/// But in some situation it's not help a more////
For example:
I must to get very high Bloom effect only on the extremely bright part of the sky and completely remove that from all plant's and grasses///
With threshold parameter is some problematic on this picture///
of course i can to set brightness of the sky some higher, but this changing overall lighting for all scene /this main HDR for light//i don't need this---- and etc...:)
In short it turns out a little uncomfortable, look for 0.0002 parameter of threshold and changing Completely all around only for Bloom effect in correct place:))

One other example from commercial project:
Client asking to remove Glare and Bloom only from car and to leave this fancy on all windows and light bulbs of the building////
For this i have extremely lighting windows and bulbs and extremely lowering car light's///
but i don't want to make this, for me and client, overall lighting in scene is perfect---only glare not on the perfect place:)))

I can confirm, this would be insanely useful.

Or, perhaps work this into the lightmix feature; whereby there are bloom/glare multiplier spinners next to the lightmix groups so that we can individually control certain lightmix groups contribution to bloom/glare without affecting the lighting intensity of that group.

Not sure how this could be implemented though without cluttering the UI...

Example of this:

Environment lightmix group: Lightmix multiplier 1, glare multiplier 0.1
Interior Lightmix group: Lightmix multiplier 1.5, glare multiplier 4
Chandelier Lightmix group: Lightmix multiplier 0.2, glare multiplier 1

I think the biggest problem is, that B&G is hugely overused by some. Good half of renders in gallery looks like shot with vaseline and starburst filters stacked onto each other... multiple times. If used in healthy proportions and scene lights are of correct brightness, then B&G works very well in Corona.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

Different people differently assess different things:))))
I can not and will not explain to my client that
this is correct depending on the natural lighting in natural world in Lumen/Candela/Lux and Corona knows this better than him:)))
I simple trying to make Corona better and More flexible for commercial use and "stupid" clients:)

At least in the meantime, could render by adding an extra Beauty pass and turning off bloom and glare for that, then masking between the beauty with bg and the one without (or, render a bloom and glare render element and composite that on top of the non bg beauty). Or render and save with no bg, and create a bg version in the Corona Image Editor, save that out and again mask between the two. Good for removing it from the car in the above example, for instance.

(Not always possible of course where a desired bg overlaps an undesired bg)

Yes, an interesting feature request - just wanted to share ideas on what could be done in the meantime for any projects that absolutely cannot wait :)
