when i use image - 1000x669 px(resize from 2048x1371 px) - 3d max use - 99% cpu (when render)
if i use original image - 2048x1371 px - 3d max use only 18-22% cpu (when render)

It's a new awesome bug introduced by Autodesk in 3ds Max 2014 causing high res bitmap files to load extremely slowly. Yay for autodesk!

ok,
- the slowdown here is exactly the same in Corona as in other renderers, which means this is a bug in 3dsmax.
- I got reply from ADN, that they have passed it to developers, which means, that they will hopefully fix this in next 3dsmax release or servicepack.

This is, sadly, as much as I can do :/
