[Max] I need help! / Re: How to use a video file as texture?
« on: 2019-09-16, 18:20:31 »
Sorry just forgot to write my 3D program.
I use 3Ds Max.

But right know I found the mistake.
I used a Corona material with a Corona bitmap.
Know I tried the normal bitmap from max and it’s working with the mov file.
So problem is solved! :-)

Hello
I have to play out some animated corona cams (targed activaded).
I tried touse the "Automatic vertical tilt" funktion. But after starten the screen capture, the cam is not shifted anymore.

So than I tried animating the tilt funktion. But after starting the screen capture it's the same problem. The cam is not shifted....

We are using 3ds Max 2015 and corona 4 (hotfix 1)
The cams in the szene are CoronaCams.

Any ideas?

[Max] I need help! / Re: PNG Library Internal Error

As I wrote.. It's strange that we only have the problem with corona and NOT vray. We have 32 workstations and I think that at least one of them should also have a problem with vray ore one of them should be able to save the file and not have the png error.

@ sprayer
We are all using max as a admin. What do you mean with english names? Names of the project? Names of the models...

Hey there,

as I wrote in a different theme (---> https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=17754.0) I try using corona for animations.

But there a problems by saving the files as a png. So now I tried saving its as a tif.
Unfortunately I also have problems with the tif files. All the frames of the elements are saving in different bitrates. I set it up to 16 bits. But the final rendered frames are saving in different bitsizes what pc from our render farm got the job.

What is also strange is that the problems are only with the elements. The "normal rendering are fine". All tif's have the same bitrate. It doesn't matter which slave rendered the frame.

I attached a picture where you can see that the frames of the animation have a total different filesize (different bitrate). So of course the animation is flickering because the different bitrates have diffrent colors.
Any tips for me?

Cheers Florian

Sorry, not helpfull.

We also tried ...

- remove elements, save, restart 3dsmax, open file add elements again (same mistake)

maru from corona team wrote that it must be a max problem....

We only have the problem by using corona. With vray there is no problem.

[Max] I need help! / PNG Library Internal Error
« on: 2017-10-09, 10:53:30 »
Hey there,
at first I would like to introduce myself.
My Name is Florian and I am working as a 3d artist for the company lichtecht GmbH in Hamburg. Some of us are using corona for a while and (for still images) the results are pretty good.
Right now, I also wanted to test it for animations. But unfortunately I have some problems.
When I try to save the frames of the animation as a png-file I am getting a "png library error" (see picture).

For that reason I tried to save it as a tif. But there is also a problem. All the tif's are saving in a different bitrate (I will post a second topic for that)

I also asked one of the corona guys at the ACADEMY DAY #8 in Venice (Sorry I forgot your name). I also tried to help my by talking to his colleges. But unfortunately he could help me right away and recommend me to ask my question here)

Any ideas for that problem?

Cheers Florian
