Hey there,

as I wrote in a different theme (---> https://forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?topic=17754.0) I try using corona for animations.

But there a problems by saving the files as a png. So now I tried saving its as a tif.
Unfortunately I also have problems with the tif files. All the frames of the elements are saving in different bitrates. I set it up to 16 bits. But the final rendered frames are saving in different bitsizes what pc from our render farm got the job.

What is also strange is that the problems are only with the elements. The "normal rendering are fine". All tif's have the same bitrate. It doesn't matter which slave rendered the frame.

I attached a picture where you can see that the frames of the animation have a total different filesize (different bitrate). So of course the animation is flickering because the different bitrates have diffrent colors.
Any tips for me?

Cheers Florian

Hi Flopi79,

First of all, sorry for the lack of responses. It seems that our forum users did not encounter similar issues before, and the reason why you did not receive messages from the devs/support team is that we are extremely busy with 1.7 release and Corona Academy preparations right now. If a topic is logged on the forum, it will not disappear, and you will receive a reply, but currently it may take a bit more time than normally. Sorry for that and thank you for your patience!

As to the PNG issues - as far as I know this is a 3ds Max issue, which appears randomly. One possible solution to it could be removing all render elements, then setting up the main output path anew, and then re-adding render elements. This often solves similar issues.

As to the TIF issues - sorry, but I did not fully understand the report. Do you mean that various TIFs are saved with various color depth? (8/16/32 bit) If so, that might mean that some of the render elements on your render element list in 3sd Max are set up with different color depth than the others. Re-adding render elements might help here too, but I think the safest solution would be rendering to EXR format. Here is why:
1) You can then easily specify the parameters of the saved image.
2) You can save multiple render elements inside a single EXR file, and then you can open all of them in PS at once. I recommend using this PS plugin - http://www.exr-io.com/
3) When adding the render elements into the single EXR file, you can specify their parameters as well, so you can clearly see in one place what color depth and other properties they are using.
I am attaching a screenshot showing the EXR save as dialog with the render element-related options highlighted.

Hope this helps!
