SOLVED:

the displacement tex needs to be flipped horizontally, even if it is the correct orientation when you look at the tex file in mat preview, windows explorer etc. Works now.

[C4D] Resolved Bugs / Offset U+V
« on: 2014-12-06, 22:27:45 »
Hi all

I noticed that if you position a texture using offset U and offset V in the material tag, the correct values will be times (-1) of what you have set there.

Example

this values are the correct ones for my editor/preview.
If I render it like this the mapping is all messed up. If I put a - in front of the values ( -63,1% and -84%) I get the desired output in the render. (even though it looks messed up in the editor now ;)

[C4D] General Discussion / displacement mapping bug?
« on: 2014-12-06, 22:04:55 »
Hi all

I tried to make a gravel floor with arroway tex (They deliver displacement tex and diffuse, which I put in the respective channels in the corona material)
When I render, It seems the displacement is not matching the mapping of the diffuse tex (and vice versa)

see examples here. ignore displ roughness please.

diffuse only

diff+displace

Am I overlooking something?
Its the right combination of diff/displ, I tried in Vray and it works there.

thanks a lot
keep up the great work!
