Here you are.

Preview yes, but try to render.

Blooming glare, well I never!
Should have tried to render it, indeed.
Shows how rarely I use a Corona Bitmap shader actually.

Try Transform in a Layer Shader.

There is a (pretty pointless in most cases ;)) workaround to keep your sphere as shiny as a mirror and still have the HDRI blurry.

You can use a ray switch material and let it send out a blurry version of your HDRI to anything reflective.

But, if in any case, you want everything blurry in the sphere, really set the blurriness in the material and not in each and every scene material via ray switcher ;)

PS the ray switcher is NOT a pointless shader, this usecase is just a bit ... pointless, unless you really just want the HDRI blurry and the rest sharp.

The Ball is a Chrome Shader with full Glossy.

I want a Blurry Surface in the reflecion. How must i do it ?

So you want a red sphere, but its color must be blue?

Then checking this box should help.

It seemingly doesn't work with extruded splines. As soon as I convert them to polygon objects, it's working normally.

Older C4D versions created the caps of extruded objects as separate objects. What version are you using?

[C4D] Daily Builds / Slicer: Issue and idea
« on: 2021-12-21, 20:36:28 »
Issue: When I slice (in this scene's case rather "render boole") from a surface with displacement, I get artifacts.

See image and attached scene.

Idea: Would it be possible to use the slicer also in a "intersection" mode?

In other words: In the attached scene the render result would be the geometry that includes the cube and the sphere(s), like the Boolean mode "Intersect".

Well color me surprised. I didn't know that plugin existed. I didn't think a third party had access to the native formats.

As far as I know it needs an installed 3DSmax version present.

[C4D] General Discussion / Re: Creating grass lawn
« on: 2021-12-19, 18:05:35 »
Hi. I was just wondering whats the best way to create a grass lawn in Corona. I have some grass assets which are in grass clumps. I was just wondering how to create straight edges like in the picture attached? Or should I use hair to create the grasss instead of assets? Any advice much appreciated. ALso the assets I've tried make the pc render slow and crashes often.

When I need straight borders, I usually go the distance shader way (see attached file). Maybe the upcoming Chaos Scatter will offer something easier to setup.
As for your issues with the assets: depends on how they are made, so I have no idea and no advise other than "keep the total clone count as low as possible and use multi-instances".

[C4D] Daily Builds / Re: Using the new ''Decals'' feature
« on: 2021-12-19, 17:50:12 »
I see now the latest daily build supports decals for C4D but still cannot figure out how it works. Anyone tried it already?

They're just fancy "labels" with a lot of potential and you can use them in cloners, for example, which makes them superior to a pure material solution.
Play with the attached file and ask if questions come up.
Somebody should be able to answer them, hopefully ;)

Useful idea.

I do not really understand what you are asking.

Someone has generously shared a nice tent model recently. You may want to use it for your project and say thanks to the author.

It's even (a tiny bit) nicer than the great six-polys model I used for my sample scene.

Thx for the link!
