Here you go, now when you discovered new tool, you will be asking yourself how i could ever live without it? You're welcome! :]

Wow, just wow. Stunning work. I could stare at it for hours and still find so many minute details. Every single detail is perfected. This must took ages to finish. I also dig the subject very much, for some reasons dirty old laundromats have always fascinated me.

Oh, so it's Max's issue, not Corona's. I collapsed the stack in this file, so hopefully it will load fine for you this time, but the pattern itself will no longer be easily modifiable.

Not sure what you mean  by Corona native siding materials, but it's a common issue with displacement, it's just not very good at steep, sharp corners. You can improve situation by lowering displacement screen size as suggested, but it comes at the price of increased RAM consumption and longer parsing time and the issue is still there, just less visible. Better solution would be to modify your displacement maps by blurring them, so that displacement wouldn't have to work so hard and give much better result even at default settings. The downside of that method is that it can slightly change the look, so you must keep an eye to not over done it.

No problem. Attaching scene saved as Max 2021. I also deleted all Corona bits, except the pattern modifier and changed the renderer to scanline, so it shouldn't crash when opening in older versions.

I think it's a matter of getting hole sizes right. Of course 3D having holes made with geometry instead of simple opacity on a flat plane also adds quite a lot. Corona pattern here is the perfect tool for the job.

I think that's perfect example where using Corona pattern would make more sense than using displacement.

That is expected behaviour. Blur in 3ds Max is used to avoid aliasing, its results depends on texture size in rendered image - the smaller texture will be, the more it will be blurred. If you want that blurring would stay constant independently on texture's size, you need to use blur offset, not the blur. You can read about this in Max's documentation: https://help.autodesk.com/view/3DSMAX/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-8AE3643F-BDB4-498B-B220-92646FC8A562

Look at AI upscaling your textures. Programs like Gigapixel, does pretty good job at that.

Actual rendering resolution can always be seen on the top of the VFB, that's why maru asked to show it. Also, in recent Corona versions you can separately set resolution for IR. I can't show where exactly this setting is located in render setup, since i'm 3ds Max user, but you should be able to find it somewhere next to performance settings.
