Don't know if it's a "bug" or by design but it happens only when the render camera has a Corona Camera Tag.
It's the syncing of the tonemapping parameters / stack from the VFB to the Corona Camera Tag that triggers the IPR refresh. Delete the tag and no more IPR refresh.

It doesn't make any sense to use the Release Candidate version or report issues in it. Please update to Corona 13 and let us know if the problem is still there: https://my.chaos.com/download/build?product=Corona&platform=Cinema+4D

In Corona 13 RC2 it is still there.
Please can you explain why this is still not fixed.

Hello

today at my company I'm having the same issue.
At first 3ds max 2024 didn't recognize corona as a renderer so I decide to reinstall at it work
But now every time a try to create a material 3ds max just crashes.
i already started a order with chaos corona assistance but i just don“t understand why this is happening

3ds max 2024 - version
Corona 12 for 3ds Max, update 2, hotfix 1 - version

FWIW, here's a reddit post about an OSL hafltone shader in development (for Arnold) that I just stumbled upon, with some great examples:

I believe for this to work you need to access the renderer's internals, meaning something like this will (most likely) not work in OSL in Max.

We have updated to Corona 13 now and the issue persists. When will this be solved?

I am a big fan of the PT + PT approach as well. It's 2025, I don't want to be caching GI for offline rendering any more haha. I do change a few settings like highlight clamping, but pretty much never change from PT.
