Corona Material Library

Hi guys! I downloaded some materials in Corona Material library site (coronamaterials.com). My problem now is how I'm going to use this materials in my specific model. I try to clean it up when I open the .max file by deleting the camera,planes etc. Then, I apply the materials from the slate material editor to the selected model, but nothing happen. Hope you help me to this one. Thanks

Hard to tell where problem is, i find your explanation a bit too vague. Can you at least provide a picture of "nothing"? :]
