Hi guys,

I cannot find the round corners option under the Advanced options. Was it removed from the daily builds? I am using the Sep 22.

Hi, it was changed in the dailies. Now you should add CoronaRoundEdges map to bump slot. It will be updated in the helpdesk.

Thanks maru. I searched on the Helpdesk first, that is why I enquired here. I see that now it is an individual node.

Many thanks Maru

So it's basically like Vray's setup ? And you have to use (slow and problematic) composite map to combine it with regular bump map ? or does it have slot for bump map directly ?

It works in the only bump slot, so it's quite annoying. It works great but replacing regular bump is not a good workflow and I hope it changes!

You can use the additional bump slot. So far it works fine.

There is "additional bump" slot in it. But there is point in Atelieryork's post so I have an idea for a feature request.

I find it bit funny how lot of solutions started different (and simpler) from Vray but when need for more complex solutions arisen, instead of evolving said solution it was switched to exact way Vray does it :- D
Is this certain's guy's work ?

But I am not complaining, as long as it works well and offers expanded functionality all is well. Will reserve opinion until someones posts the UI of the map.
Edit: There is bump slot. All is well then.

How do you mean "additional" I can only see the usual single slot.

Inside the map I guess.

On the CoronaRoundEdges node you have the Additional bump mapping. :)

Ah I see! Ok, well that could work ok I guess. I would still much prefer it to be its own node in the material, as it was before. I understand this was changed to accommodate the include/exclude changes etc. but maybe that can be improved.

So we need to rework existing materials if the option was used? Not sure I like silent changes that introduce additional work when you switch to a new version...

Nope, it's automated and it works fine. I know it because I did not know about this change and loaded an older scene. Took me a while to figure out "why the rounded corners feature was removed from Coronamtl". ;)

ok, the change was made for many reasons, some of them internal (the current system looked fine from users perspective, but was really weird from code standpoint), but we also wanted to:

1) add more settings without cluttering CoronaMtl interface

2) make it usable in other material types (standard, shadow catcher, future Corona PBR shader, ...) without copy&pasting the entire interface

There is additional bump slot, so mixing maps is really simple

There is automatic conversion when loading older scenes, so there is no work required to convert old scenes.
