I would go with 3d DOF and MB - would be much nicer result IMHO.

First version was been with Dof from Corona /no post-process/, but without MB
Second also with MB from Corona
for me there is no a big difference with MB. In the first case, even clear and faster time of render/

Hello! I just want to be constructive with my critics...
I am kind of enthusiastic about animals and for me the most non-realistic thing is the tortoise!

The higher part of the shell (carapace) is good, while the lower part (plastron) is usually much flatter.
The head you modeled is lizard-like; moreover, tortoises have a sort of "beak".
The legs of your tortoise seem to have blisters; those are supposed to be scales!

For example this is Testudo hermanni, which can be found in SE Europe:
saw & sew, that's what meshes need

Thanks for comment
But i found so many different references about turtle
I needed to do something averaged and more abstract
besides, my task was not so much to do
hundred percent tortoise rather beautiful conceptual illustration.

To me it doesn't look old at all. Also springs are miniscule, usually those things are quite big on railroad cars: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_railroad_truck_parts#/media/File:Seitenkipper-Ua4201-Drehgestell.jpg

Moving topic to WIP.
