hi,

I'm using corona for a while now for personal stuff and for evaluation purposes because I wanted to integrate corona in my workflow and introduce it to my render team at my studio.

because auf security issues all cad and 3d workstations here aren't directly connected to the internet.

nevertheless I wanted to install it here because of the strong workstations. no match for my personal hardware.
so this questions is obviously directed to the official staff or anybody who had similar problems.

Cand I install corona without direct internet connection?

thanks in advance.

cheers oliver

You wrote "direct" Internet connection. Does that mean that it has indirect connection? If you have one PC which has it, and all the other PCs can communicate with it, you can use the licensing server. https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000618553
Other option is to activate using activation codes, or to temporarily connect Internet to the PCs where activation is needed.

it means that some have a virtual client to which you can switch for internet work and outlook and a wormhole like connection to move files from virtual to real client. that doesnt work for registration matters. it got more and more difficult to handle through the last years. but we have a around 300 hacking attacks per year and can't risk it.

so a temporarly connection will also not work because the admins will run crazy if I bring that up ^^

I hope I can get this to work with the activation code.

thanks

You can also send a request to our support: https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/new
We will send you a magic file that has to be pasted into a magic location and it should work. The only problem for now may be that most of the team are on holidays so this could take a while. :)

that would be helpful. I will happily try that. there's no need to rush anyway the major projects running atm with vray and aren't finished till end of september anyway. but I wanted to introduce corona into new projects after that.

thanks for the help.
