So im running 5 hp blades each with max 2014 and they all have gamma disabled as does my main pc.
Im still getting dark bars in my renders and im not sure why.
Any ideas?
Are there any known issues with rendering with HDR environment lighting and DR?

Thanks
Jack

Is it possible that the colour map settings arent the same on each node and that they should be left at default on the main pc until the render is complete?

Ah, ok that will be why haha. Its strange, i have been using disabled gamma on my renders for a good while. even when distributing. but all of a sudden it has gone haywire. Ill report back once ive re-enabled them.
Thanks

each node seems to be showing a different 'darkness' of bar despite all being gamma 2.2 with the same in/out gamma too.
the bottom bar is the brightness my main pc was rendering at

This one below i left for about 2000 passes (about 10 minutes) and the bars disappeared then reappeared after the next update

Can you do this?

1. On master PC: go to Render Setup > System > Distributed Rendering and check "[DEBUG] Retain EXRs" checkbox

2. On master PC: start distributed rendering

3. On master PC: stop it after at least 1 pass

4. On master PC: hover your mouse cursor over "[DEBUG] Retain EXRs" to see path to the folder where the recieved images will be stored

5. On master PC: go to that location and inspect the EXR files recieved from each render node

...and post the results here? (preferably in jpg)

Ok i ran the debug render for quite a while. possibly too long. like 8000 passes before i remembered i had it rendering. theres about a hundred exrs in the folder. the render came out without any banding whatsoever. What should i post from the exr folder? Should i re-render and only leave it until each node has updated once and then check the folder?

Ok, after running the rendering please gather the files submitted by node PCs and inspect them (if they all rendered fine, maybe some of them are completely black or white, maybe some of them are missing textures, lights, etc). You can also pack them and send here, or better to our support portal, or convert to jpg and send if they are very big.
