Hello everyone,

I just purchased and downloaded a male rigged character (CMan0002-M3-CS_STD.max) from AXYZ.  It also included Mental Ray as well as V Ray files.  I opened the Standard file and the materials show in the viewport set to the realistic view.  I opened the Corona Converter v1.13 and "converted", at least I thought I did, to Corona materials and then rendered.  I got the dreaded red "Unsupported mtl: DirectX Shader".  What have I not done properly?  Do I have to load all of the materials into the Materials Editor before converting them?  Could someone please help me?

Thanks,

Tom

DirextX shaders are not supported by the converter. Try the mental ray or (probably better, the) Vray file. Those should convert fine.
Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a feature.
