Corona version 1.01 I found problem with Global Illumination Switch.
I position (None (biased) leaving only direct illumination) Corona continues calculate GI.
Here is Simple Scene template with CoronaSun and Sky/

Lighting from enviroment is considering as direct in Corona. Turn off CoronaSky and you will see it yourself.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

This is direct lighting, you are just used to old and obsolete workflows ;)
Rendering is magic.How to get minidumps for crashed/frozen 3ds Max | Sorry for short replies, brief responses = more time to develop Corona ;)
