Hi ,

I have been evaluating the Cororna Render and I really like it.

from last few days I was rendering few shots with it works just fine but I come up with two issues

1. Cororna crashed 3dsmax on 4 shots, so i have to start max and start the render again from where it left. it only completed one shot without crashing.

2. Cororna didnt crashed 3dsmax but on any random frame it just keeps calculating, I waited for hours but it just keeps doing it, where render frame time is just one minute. so I have exit 3dsmax to restart it from that frame.

is there any workaround for this problem, or is it too early to expect stability from corona.

by the way i am using the Ver - 1.0 on 3dsmax 64bit. except corona I only have vray installed.

Thank to the dev team for this new renderer.

When it crashes, is there some error message?
If it happens again, can you perform actions from this article? https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000524006

Is this a "heavy" scene (lots of objects, much RAM needed)? Are you using displacement? The frames where it keeps calculating - are they different in any way from the frames that render normally?

First step - please download the latest Corona version from https://corona-renderer.com/download/ - there were many bugfixes that could help you

I am using latest version - CORONA RENDERER FOR 3DS MAX 1.00.02

There is no error message when it crash, it is just a typical windows dialogue that comes in.

The scene file is very very light only 8000 polys with corona sun lighting the scene. no displacement, camera is moving through it nothing unusual, the crashing behaviour is with 4 scenes with complete different setup so I guss no problem with geometry.

as I said if I restart it then it renders fine until it crash next and so on.

So with the error message opened, can you do what is suggested here? https://coronarenderer.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/5000524006

You do not need to have any dialogue. You can do this when it is frozen or if there is any other error message visible on screen.

ok, can you post the minidump? Or the scene, if it happens constantly in that specific scene

there are 2 options when using process explorer - to create minidump and regular dump. If you created minidump, it would be only few megabytes. But you can still upload even the huge one, if you have fast enough internet - you can use https://corona-renderer.com/upload/

I am now using alpha and I didn't see this problem with it.
