Hi Congrats and many thanks for all your hard work on Corona. I had been using the alpha version in my previous job for the last year, unfortunately in my new job I'm having to use Vray again. It feels like Ive gone back to the stone age....... but anyway.

After installing the new V1.0 demo. I had a play in a brand new max 2015 file, not problems, all lovely.

But when I tried opening a project from work, created in max 2014 and setup in Vray 3.10, I used the coronaconverter, but when trying to render - Corona will only render in the native max VFB (its doesnt pop up automatically, but it does begin rendering in it). The corona vfb doesnt activate at all. and using the 'show VFB button' in Corona's settings only brings up the Native Max VFB as well.

Edit: P.S. The VFB type is definately set to 'CoronaVFB' on the system tab. I've tried swapping this drop down around etc, but without any luck. It just wont use the CoronaVFB for me on the converted scene.

I doubt that the conversion had anything to do with it, but does the CoronaVfb open when you load the file without converting the scene? Just to make sure that's not causing a problem.

Is it possible that the window is created on different monitor, minimized, etc? I saw similar problems when people randomly disconnected and reconnected multiple monitors

Ok, I've just tried that. Opened the scene, changed the assigned renderer to Corona and immediately tried to render. It behaved in the exact same way. Rendering started, but no VFB pops up. I can only load the Native VFB and to see it rendering. Show VFB in coronas settings still only loads the Native VFB.

So you are right, the conversion hasnt caused it. It could be something to do with it being a vray3.1 scene I suppose. Its a scene from work where they have the latest vray version.

Here at home I just have 3.00.07.

I've just tried the same process with a very basic scene created in Vray 3.00.07 and Corona works as it should (Corona VFB loads and works normally).

Im fairly sure that the VFB isnt created somewhere off screen. Theres nothing visible on the windows7 taskbar previews along the bottom of the desktop. And on other scenes the VFB pops up right in the center of my main screen. (I have 2 screens)

What type of license did you activate?

Is it possible you have the "Rendered frame window" checkbox unchecked in 3ds Max common render settings?

It's a new feature in 1.0 . The corona vfb visibility is linked to the rendered frame window checkbox.

Imho it's not ideal when rendering on the farm because it's either opening 2 framebuffers or none (with deadline) ;)

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks that was it!. Thank you. Not a bug I apologise. Just a quirk that it gets unchecked on files that get sent through to the render farm.
