Hey,

yesterday I finally had enough spare time to try corona on something personal and not confidetial work related!

Inspiration came from a beautiful house featured on archdaily (http://www.archdaily.com/596147/bolton-residence-naturehumaine/) and i used some models and altered materials from the free CoronaC4D test scene.

I'd be very glad about comments and especially constructive criticism. :)

Regards,
Flo

It's not mine to critisize any Corona render results yet.

However as an industiral designer, I want to ask you a technical question: How the hell could you install that security glass panel on the floor and the wall without using anything? Did you put some glue on it? :D (Just kidding. No offence bro)

Thanks for that hint - in fact that glass panel was the last thing i added before time ran out :D
In the end i want a mid-high concrete wall there with a sideboard or something infront.

But I guess that's the problem with 3D - you don't even need glue :D

That's one of the proper ways to install it. :)

Okay I have a few bits of feedback for you. I will try and list them 1 by 1, but first overall there is something with the saturation of the background and the heavy contrast inside that doesn't align. It looks forced somehow.

* try and keep interior design cleaner and less messy. like the bottles in front, you often see people do fancy stuff by having items scattered all over the place, but 99% of the time you will not be able to do this in commercial work, and it will look like a mess unless it's very carefully placed based on your general composition, camera view etc.

* the curtain rail is not long enough..   also the curtains makes no sense for the amount / type of windows / doors there are there.  if put in both sides, they won't cover the windows, also they don't look big enough to cover the entire thing. And you probably wouldn't have curtains covering the small window on the right all together. Attention to detail!

* It may be correct, but personally I find the low window on the left a super weird design decision. And from an image point of view, it creates a massive imbalance in your composition because you have big windows middle, centered big windows right, and then a tiny window offset and lower on left. You would be better off not having any windows, or have it the same height as on the right.

* I don't like the stone material on the cabinet on the left.. something about that seems off. maybe scale?  it feels very chunky looking.

* if you want to put plates and accessories on the table, do it fully! not half way.. no one has 1 bowl, a sauce and only a plate for each person... what happened to glass/cups ? knife/spoon and fork ? etc.

* to me the floor stone suffers from the same problem as the stone cabinet on the left... looks out of scale and way too heavy. It draws all the attention to the bottom of the image, rather than to the very nice wooden ceiling. Consider something finer and slightly lighter in tone.

* the top window again, very odd design decision... why would you not have the triangle go all the way? you want as much light in as possible in a home?!

Anyway, just my thoughts you can take it or leave it.  up to you :)

keep it up!

Thanks alot for your comment, this was exactly what I was hoping for!!
There is nothing better than a 1 by 1 list of all made mistakes for every beginner imho

As soon as I get to it, I'll definitelly try to work through those points :)
