I've a problem in the daily build 24.01.15. It crashes max 2015 when opening a .mat file which has one of the materials as a custom object.

I can send you the .mat file for testing?

The name of the mat inside the .mat file is '_Dirt Trick'

Nope. Works in max 2014 using 'Jan  2 2015 build'

Rename file to 'Corona' Still the same.

I cannot reproduce the problem. Can you send me also the custom object you are using?

I'm migrating to max 2015 finally and it seems that max crashes when you don't have a custom object pre loaded in the options when some of the mat previews have that changed.

You can mark this as either solved or a max problem. I over looked the simplest thing here. Sorry for taking up your time.

EMMM! It doesn't allow you to unload/remove the custom object once you load it in the slot (No checkbox/right click option). Not even if I rename the original file to force max after a restart to look for it does it say missing file. Crazy!

Unless I find a registry item for it or find a way through maxscript then I dunno. Will look more about this tomorrow.
