I begin to use  Corona rendering a motorcycle wheel.
I can't find the right settings and result to have edges on the tire and the wheel (strangely, not on the brake discs...).
As you can see, I didn't have the same problem using V-Ray.

I need help!

Is this a body objects in 3ds max?

I imported this objects from another 3D software (to 3ds max). Does this make a difference for Corona?
I imported also the brake discs, screws.. without having the same result. I'll try to import again the wheel&tire and render again.

If all are quads... seems a work for Turbosmooth modifier.

No, if it's mesh. Probably, if it's solid. Can you select problematic object and show a screenshot of modifier panel?

Set the mesh quality to fine and it should fix the problem.

It seems like Solid Works alike imported geometry.

Corona is still a little bit picky with body objects. Set render approx settings like this and you should be fine:

I battle with this problem alot. Solutions:
-Some scripts work sometimes, I dont know why sometimes I get an error and sometimes they work.

-When a script wont work, I go all the parts thru manually and click Rendering Approximatin >>
  • use viewport mesh


...hate it when I have ~500 objects and have to click that on everyone. But also if I would like to skip clicking,
then I select all and "Convert to poly" - Then the body objects will be converted to polygons.

Max has Body utility for mass editing body objects. No need to click 500 times.

Thanks romullus, works fine. I'll now focus on render quality, Corona looks to be very powerfull.
