Hi....if you are using sun then increase the sun size for soft shadow..like 2.

Instead of posting a new topic, i thought I'd continue off this one...

I'm having a similar problem, my shadows are too dark and need to be softened.

This setting above didn't work. It just increases the symbolic size of the sun.

Has anyone got a solution?

I was thinking there would be a scroll bar like in revit to just soften shadow darkness (Excellent feature that corona should incorporate!)

The only fudge option I can think of is adding a second sun and then turning off second shadows for items, but I have a feeling I'll end up with two shadows or no shadows if I do this...

Looking forward to a solution!

What exactly are you looking for? Brighter shadows or softer shadows? Those are two different things in my eyes.

If your shadows are too dark then this could be depending on your scene features (parts of the scene where simply no light reaches) or to a wrong Sun/Sky setup. Remember to add a CoronaSky to the environment slot, you can do this from the CoronaSun settings.

Softer shadows can be achieved like mentioned above, with the Sun size.
This setting works without problems. Maybe you can't see the difference between sun size 1.0 and 2.0 but if you increase it to like 10 you should be able to see it undoubtedly.
I don't think the corona team will ever incorporate a slider like "shadow darkness" ;)

I use HDRIs and the sun size at around 6-8 for softer shadows.
