How to create Application Shortcut automatically

Hi Everyone,

How can i add a shortcut to my home screen, after the app gets installed.

Some of the apps which i downloaded from play store creates shortcut automatically.

Is there any API to create shortcut.

Are you sure you got the right "Corona"? We don't do any "apps"

You are probably looking for  CoronaLabs http://coronalabs.com/ a cross plataform for mobile app development.
A complete different beast but i understand the confusion.
