I'm setting up a basic apartment scene and am noticing some patchy noise in the render -- which I actually haven't seen before with Corona. I think it has something to do with the room not being directly lit. Is there a setting change that can address this?

Are you using portals?
Whats your GI/AA Balance? ( Interiors I use 32 )
HD recording at 512 ( Why ? I don't know, I saw this in a thread somewhere :p )

Also PT/PT or PT/HD? ( from my understanding you should use PT/HD for interiors)
Also you could increase the light sample multiplier, no experience with that setting tho.

To me this looks like HD cache error. You can try disabling HD cache (use PT + PT as primary and secondary solver) and region-rendering that area. This should identify your problem.
