Hey guys i am thinking what about a render challenge? I mean every 2 - 3 months moderators or pro modellers can post one scene to the challenge and anyone can participate like we should have some rules and judges
its a way to improve the quality and at the same time learning from others and also who wants to share some tips and tricks from scenes
A cool way to keep the community together
Who support this idea? any mods? maybe we can add a new forum item - "Render Challenge"

I like!
I really like corona, its been such a pleasure to use at work but unfortunately almost all of my work is for corporate clients so I can never share here. I'm also trying now to really learn unreal engine 4 so leaves little time for personal rendering projects, especially trying to think of a concept from nothing. A render challenge with some sort of focus but somewhat open ended would be fun :)

It's probably not big enough community yet and there are far too many challenges these days, which often are quite counter-productive.

Have you checked CGSociety/CGTalk forum ? They have monthly challenges with fantastic themes often, you can use any soft or renderer.

Juraj i agree with some points lets say maybe there is no need to be a challenge with winners just one scene to work with
I mean just to be corona users inside the forum and corona renderer based
thats just an idea

A similar idea had cross my mind some time ago. But i thought about it not as a challenge but more as a helping hand to Corona newcomers. The idea is, let's say someone puts fully modelled scene without materials, textures and lighting to be downloaded and then everyone who wants can download it, apply own materials, adjust lighting and render settings. Then render it and upload image and scene to be availlable to everyone. That way, when new guy comes to forum, he can look at such topic, pick scene that he finds most attractive, download it and study how it set up.
That would be really useful "challenge".
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.
