Hello,

I think is not normal to have problems of memory with 64 gb of ram.

¿Does exist some parameter in render settings to specify to Corona the amount of Ram?

Thank you.

As far as i know from what i have read on forums, the only thing that can eat RAM like that would be a displacement setting.

OK I make diferent question.

Somebody has done a very complex scene, with 2 or 3 multiscatters, a lot of proxys for trees, millions for the grass, rendering open view where I see 3 houses wich 3 diferent gardens, wicker chairs in the garden (with geometry, no texture), cars in the garaje, detailed curtains, almost all with geometry, a lot of details, etc......and when you press F9,  ¿it runs?

For very heavy scenes I think Corona can not do it. Although you have a computer from NASA

Currently I'm doing a project in Corona, a full block, I only have 10 GB of RAM on my computer and my light count has gone up to 656 for night shots. I have not run out of memory yet, I have 5 buildings, with internal and external lights and proxies everywhere. I have turned off all displacement settings, I don't think my 10GB RAM computer can handle it, but otherwise I have not run into any memory problems yet.

I think it may be hardware error as well. Even with physical memory fullfilled I have no problems with render (except render times of course).

Thanks all.

If I change this parameters, it runs. I don't know if it's logical or not, but now no problem.

I get it. I have been using the A7.1, not any of the new builds, so I don't have that. My scene is now 700 lights and a shot of the overall campus does a rendering in 20 mins with DR to another 2 computers. Not too bad in my opinion and no crashes. The only crash I have had, for the record, is when I send to render on the slave and from the slave I try to save the image before it finishes rendering. It simply freezes and I have to re-start the rendering and no image gets saved. Unfortunately, I lost a few hours of render time at this point (and it happened twice). Maybe Keymaster can take a look at that as his priorities permit.
