I get an instant max crash on offsetting the 'mapping' of a berconwood map plugged into diffuse of corona material.

Not sure if this is a corona bug, a berconmaps bug or just my computer.

If anyone else tries this and has the same crash let me know.

This is with the 'variance' offset, not transform.

Last I looked it also crashed with Vray and other renderers. It's a bug in the bercon maps which is a shame since this is one of the most useful things in the plugin.
Any sufficiently advanced bug is indistinguishable from a feature.

Bummer!

So that feature is completely unusable, then?

You can avoid using the material editor ;) it renders fine. If, surprisingly, you can't keep your fingers off it it is indeed a useless feature...

Yep, happens with every renderer, and also with any of the builds that are supposed to have fixes for various crashes. I have briefly spoken to David Baker from maxplugins about a fix but have not been able to follow up on this due to workload. Will try again in the next weeks.
