I have a problem quit a long time with day scenes, the noise that i'm getting to the walls.
When i use night set up i have zero noise very quickly, and when i'm rendering day scenes particularly in walls, and simple color materials such as grey closet the noise to clear needs at least 8 hours.
A scene that specify that is the attachment scene.
Render took 8 hours and the noise is too much. When i use bitmaps i have zero noise as seen, the settings to the walls are
reflection
 level 0.2
fresnel 1.52
glossiness 0.2
diffuse 1.0 and a grey color
the settings to kithen doors
reflection
level 0.75
fresnel 2.1
glossiness 0.8
Thank's

What are your render settings? What are you using for lighting? If you are using hdri and corona sun, then try using corona sky for environment and corona sun (try to render without hdri).

Also, what are your HW specs?

For render settings i have default ones expept the prec. density to 7.
For lighting i use corona sun, no skylight, and in the enviroment slot i use corona sky. I have a plane outside the window with a bitmap on it.
My HW specs are an intel i5 2.26Ghz, ATI HD 5850.

Where did you find a render setting called "perc. density"?

Please show us the material of that plane with bitmap.

And last thing - how did you place your portals?

Ok, my bad, I read "perc" instead of "prec".

Hm... It doesn't look that bad. And what kind of glass did you use in windows?

I think you have a lot of noise in that image, check the roof or hte red surface, but indeed your case is weird because you have a lot of noise and I don't usffer from that amount of noise in my scenes.

One question, are you lighting with an HDRI? And if that's the case, how is your HDRI, do you use a blurred HDRI with less resolution for lighting or do you use the high resolution version? I'm not sure if that can affect this, it's a long shot.

Cheers.

Maybe another suggestion. In my latest interior renders I didn't use daylight portals. The scene were fast and light. With little noise.
