I am working on a glass bottle, I have a UV map for it, and I'm trying to get displacement working the way I want. I want to create a displacement map that has both embossed and debossed details.

In Octane I would create a 50% grey base layer in Photoshop, then have darker and lighter areas to control whether the displacement is raised or lowered. I would set the mid level in Octane to 0.5 so anything that is 50% grey gets no displacement.

How do I replicate this behaviour in Corona? I'm not really understanding the settings for min and max level and water level.

Hi,

To mimic Octane behavior you have to input the same value in both min and max, but negative in min. Like -1cm | 1cm.
Then if you load a map properly calibrated with a linear color space the 50% grey parts will be at the original surface level after displacement.
