Corona renders produce different results at different resolutions. This issue occurs in both production and IR modes, because computer tests are usually done at low resolutions, but when rendering the final high-resolution image, the colors turn out drastically different. It’s very frustrating.

There's an accurate sampling option in render setup>scene>scene environment. Try to enable it and see if it helps. AFAIK it was introduced to help with issues like yours.

But this problem doesn’t necessarily occur with all HDRs, which is very frustrating. It seems that with certain HDRs it inevitably happens!

Yes, because some HDRIs can have a single pixel as a very bright light source, and some don't.
