Hello everyone,

I have a large number of images to produce in very high resolution. To maximize production time, I would like to create my images in medium resolution and then use AI to improve them. For example, I want to create my images in 4K and then maximize them with AI to 12K.

I have done some online tests with freely available AI, but the results are not convincing. The final images are too smooth, with an unpleasant cartoon-like appearance.

Can you recommend any AI, even paid ones, to improve the resolution of my renderings?

Thank you,

I've been using Topaz Gigapixel AI to upscale my images. It's fast to use if you need to upscale several images, and provides good control over each image with different AI modes and settings.

Not sure if I would recommend upscaling from 4K to 12K though, you're almost certain to have an artificial look to your images. Is there any specific reason you need your images to be 12K?

OK, thank you very much for your reply.

Yes, the reason is that I need to produce images for use in virtual tours. To maintain good final quality, I need to produce them in at least 8-10k resolution.

Okay, I see. I have been upscaling from 4K to 8K, and depending on the image I think it can look okay in most cases.

There's a free trial on the website, so I would recommend trying it out to see if it can work for you. :)

Upscayl is the one I use. It's free with a couple of different algorithms.
