Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a way to run the AI Enhancement afterward, or is it currently limited to only be run through the VFB 2.0 window?

Last night I rendered a few images, saved the results to EXR with the AiEnhancer element embedded, and then the computer shutdown like I instructed it to. But after I manually uploaded the files (EXRs) to the Chaos Collaborate site today, I don't see the Enhance button like I would if I uploaded from the VFB.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

You can load them into the VFB 2 history. I forget if you then have to do some "resume render" or not, but either you can just AI Enhance from the history once loaded, or you can start (and almost immediately stop) a resume render and then you can AI Enhance. But it does have to go through the VFB, uploading it manually won't get it recognized as being ready for enhancement. Hope this helps!

Hi Tom, always quick with the answers :D

So I tried loading the EXRs renamed as CXR in a blank scene and the Enhance button was greyed out. I opened them in my original file under the history and but that also didn't work as expected. If I hit play and stop quickly, the result was crushed and underexposed.  I may have to either set the export format to CXR by default if I expect to do this enhance the next day after 3ds is closed or be cognizant that I need to keep 3ds open to run the enhancement.

It may be worth updating the documentation with this kind of workflow (and some further testing).
