Hi, I’ve been testing the new Corona AI Enhancer and overall I’m really impressed — it works very well on adults and improves realism significantly.

However, I’ve noticed a consistent issue: in every render that includes children, the AI Enhancer modifies their faces and turns them into adult-looking faces. I’ve tried several tests with different scenes and lighting, but the result is always the same — the children’s facial features are changed to resemble adults, sometimes even losing their original expression.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a known limitation? I’d love to keep using the tool, but this makes it hard to apply to scenes that include families or kids.

Thanks in advance,
Marcello

I know that in the promotional video the little girl’s face is enhanced correctly with the AI Enhancer, and it looks great. But for some reason, I haven’t been able to achieve the same result in any of my tests. No matter what I try, the children's faces always change to look like adults.

It's a common issue with generative AI, they are heavily biased towards particular age, ethnicity and genre. I think it's mostly because of the training data that contains very little images of minors (for understandable reasons). Example in Corona promo images is probably cherry-picked.
I'm not Corona Team member. Everything i say, is my personal opinion only.

It would be great if, in the future, we could select a specific area in the generated image and write a prompt to correct any mistakes the AI made — so we could fix issues more easily and directly.

I think the promotional image got it right because the face expression was so obvious child-like.

That's the kind of thing that is planned for the extended controls later this year. Meantime, it's always worth adding things to the AI Ideas Portal at https://chaosai.ideas.aha.io/ where you could share your examples as the motivation on why such a feature would be useful (or vote and add a comment if such a request is already on there). Thanks!
