I'm testing the AI Enhancer function. I want to perform this test on a Lightmix image in .png format, but I can't. Apparently, this AI can only be applied to an .exr file...
What's the situation? Thanks in advance.

Has to be EXR as it has to have the extra data contained in the render element.

Thanks, Tom.
OK for the EXR.
But using the AI enhancer on an image with no lighting parameters, like the Beauty, for example, isn't helpful.
How can I use it to extract my Lightmix element, which has lighting parameters from the other rendered elements?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but I don't understand this part. Can you explain what exactly you would like to achieve?

Hello Maru,
To help you understand better, here's my workflow.
During my production renders, I create different layers: beauty, Interactive Lightmix, different light, reflection, refraction, Cmasking, etc., which I use during my post-production in Photoshop.
I save all these elements in .png format.
My working base is my Interactive Lightmix layer, which contains the correct light settings I configured in the VFB.
When I use Project Dream or Magnific AI to rework and improve my characters, I use the most balanced, contrast-rich image, i.e., the Interactive Lightmix layer or a good-quality post-production layer.
In the tests I did with AI Enhancer, the image created by Corona and used in EXR format was not of good quality. It's overexposed, like the beauty layer usually created in my renders... so the result with the AI Heanser isn't really good quality and isn't usable in my workflow.
as an example two images, quick rendered, the interactive layer that I want to use for AI enhancer and the result of the AI enhancer live from the VFB via the EXR format created by corona

The only way to do this for now that I can think of would be to bake the lightmix to the scene and render, so that the Beauty gives the same result as the LightMix used to.

Thanks Tom, yes that's what I thought when I opened the EXR in Image Editor. I saw that there were a few layers including the beauty layer... but this action is irreversible... which is not really practical when working in an evolving phase...

I think AI-enhancing LightMix makes perfect sense so I have logged it as (Report ID=CMAX-1724).
