unfortunately, no matter what I do, in this version, 3ds max freezes on lightmix or in some instant edits in the scene while rendering in realtime and I have to close it and open it again. in short, it stutters and I close the program completely.
note; my processor amd ryzen 3970x thripter processor

Hello Chaos Team,

I'm encountering a serious issue with Corona Renderer 13 (RC1) while using 3ds Max 2024.2. When I launch Interactive Rendering (IR), Max becomes completely unresponsive within seconds and freezes indefinitely.

---

### System Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X
- RAM: 128 GB
- GPU: AORUS RTX (24 GB VRAM)
- OS: Windows 11 (latest updates installed)
- Corona Renderer: 13 RC1
- 3ds Max: 2024.2

---

### Issue Description:
- The freeze occurs both in **VFB IR** and **Viewport IR** modes.
- As soon as IR starts, 3ds Max locks up and becomes unusable.
- **CPU usage spikes and stays at 95–100% constantly** during the freeze.
- **GPU usage remains very low** or near idle.
- Tried even with a simple scene (box + light only) → same issue.
- Only way out is to terminate 3ds Max using Task Manager.

---

### Troubleshooting Steps I've Tried:
- Disabled all 3rd-party plugins and scripts → No effect.
- Reset all Corona render settings to default → No change.
- Updated GPU drivers (NVIDIA Studio and Game Ready versions) → No effect.
- Switched between VFB and viewport IR → No difference.
- Windows and BIOS are fully up-to-date.

---

### Notes:
- This issue did not exist in earlier stable versions.
- If needed, I can provide:
  - Screenshot of Task Manager showing CPU spike
  - A sample scene that reproduces the freeze
  - Corona system log file

Has anyone else experienced similar behavior?
Any advice or workaround would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
