Hello there,

Bug or limitation ? Bloom&Glare are not used for Alpha.
I'm making nice plastic with transparency and shadow on the floor PNG rgba files.

Problem is that Bloom&Glare are not seen in alpha, so once the png file is written with alpha, bloom&glare that should be outside the meshes are just ignored...

You don't mention which version of Corona you are using. This only became supported in Corona 12 Update 2, see https://www.chaos.com/blog/corona-12-update-2 "Added the possibility to apply Bloom&Glare on the alpha render element. This is enabled by default in new scenes, but kept disabled in old scenes."

Also it means if you intend using B&G and alpha, you should use the specific Alpha render element (not the default alpha from rendering with no render elements).

Installed version of Corona is 12 u2h1...

But i did not think about render element, i used built-in alpha.

I'll re-render the files without alpha in PNG, and use external alpha

Thanks.

The settings for bloom and glare in Alpha are in Render Settings > Camera > Bloom and Glare.

But apparently CShading_Alpha is not saved with bloom and glare, instead Alpha is (this is reported).
You can save Alpha directly from VFB as a workaround for now. For CShading_Alpha, we will see if it makes sense to have another "Inlcude Bloom and Glare" checkbox in render element settings.
